I’m Caroline Patten and I’m a People Consultant. I provide planning, training, coaching and consultancy services to help businesses to grow their workforce.

I’m MCIPD qualified and have over 15 years’ experience working with small and large companies from owner-managed and family-run businesses to stand-alone HR managers and talent acquisition teams.

Whatever the company size or ambition, I love getting to know about how businesses work and helping them take the next step in their growth journey.

Sharing our people expertise and growth ambitions

In 2008, I co-founded Grassroots – a Stockport-based IT & Sales recruitment agency that’s grown to a £3M turnover recruitment business and consultancy partner delivering scalable resource solutions to clients across the UK. We’re proud to be ISO-Certified, APSCO-accredited, a certified GM Good Employer and winners of local and national awards.

In 2021, GR Consultancy was formed to deliver strategic planning, training and coaching to businesses with more complex people-related problems. Over the past 3 years, we’ve supported large public and private sector organisations with wide-ranging projects (from organisational design to people-centred transformation initiatives), as well as working closely with relentlessly ambitious businesses like ours.
