Social Media Recruiting Series. 1- or 2-day Courses Available

Social media can play a vital role in your recruitment strategy – from increasing awareness of your employer brand and helping you to stand out from your competitors, to targeting candidates from specific sectors or areas of expertise. 

According to Glassdoor, 91% of all employers are currently using social media as part of their hiring process. So, if you’re looking to engage with prospective recruits, increase conversion to job applications, headhunt experienced hires or boost attendance at job fairs, our Social Recruiting training courses are a great place to start.

We offer 2 different courses depending on your hiring objectives and level of expertise. Each of these can be delivered as either a one-day course or split over two half-day sessions, hosted online or in-person, bespoke to your organisation or as part of a larger group. They are designed for stand-alone HR Managers, small HR Teams or Internal Recruitment professionals.

Introduction to Social Media Recruiting

Providing an introduction to using social media in recruitment, we help you design a targeted social recruiting strategy based on your organisation’s hiring needs. We support you to set-up your chosen channels and equip you and your team with the tools and expertise to implement and maintain an engaging content strategy independently.

Course contents:

  • Introduction to social recruiting trends, audiences and usage
  • Overview of social recruiting channels, their features and benefits 
  • Key considerations (internal and external) for social recruiting strategies
  • Understanding your target candidate audience and setting your strategic objectives
  • Aligning with your employer brand and operational recruitment processes
  • Using design tools to create candidate attraction and engagement campaigns

On completion of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand the primary uses and benefits of social media in your recruitment process
  • Create your organisation’s social recruiting strategy aligned to your brand values
  • Define your campaign goals and set success criteria to measure outcomes
  • Use design templates to create a media library of content and artwork
  • Launch your social recruiting channels and publish posts using scheduling tools
  • Monitor your own performance, understand metrics and generate reports

Advanced Social Recruiting and Advertising Training

Once you have established your social recruiting channels, we help you grow your reach by planning targeted campaigns that attract, engage and convert followers to action. We offer in-depth insights for more established users to better understand audiences, algorithms, analytics and advertising strategies. We help you to evaluate the current impact of your social recruiting strategy on hiring outcomes and set advanced goals, including reviewing EDI performance and ATS analytics.

Course contents:

  • Completing a social recruiting audit across current channels and using ATS data
  • Reviewing your social recruiting campaign goals and measurement
  • Designing audience engagement content plans (including Groups and Events Pages)
  • Introduction to Meta Advertising Tools and A/B Testing for Post Optimisation
  • Exploring Meta Ad Centre, Ad Manager and Business Suite for improved analytics
  • Getting started with video story-telling and recruitment advertorial campaigns

On completion of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Better understand your audience demographics and how to target candidate segments
  • Feel confident in how algorithms work and using advanced social recruiting tools
  • Design more engaging, organic content that delivers higher engagement 
  • Plan and test bespoke campaigns to reduce paid advertising spend
  • Increase conversion to online applications and interviews through retargeting
  • Measure specific outcomes to improve onboarding, retention and candidate satisfaction
