Providing an introduction to in-house recruitment, this half-day course covers all the employment legislation, hiring best practice and operational knowledge an in-house recruiter needs in their day-to-day role. Suitable for HR, Operations or Business professionals taking a more hands-on role in the hiring process or moving into a dedicated recruitment role, you’ll learn about all aspects of the recruitment cycle from job design and advertising to selection and onboarding.

  • Introduction to employment legislation, recruitment best practice and hiring ethics
  • Job design, salary benchmarking and competitor analysis
  • Job adverts and advertising campaigns (including job boards and social media)
  • Careers websites and applicant-tracking systems
  • Candidate communication and relationship management
  • Interviews, screening and assessments
  • Offer management and effective onboarding

Targeted Candidate Sourcing and Headhunting

Having consistent access to the best available talent is a major challenge facing in-house recruitment teams. This full-day course removes your reliance on ad response and direct applications, giving you access to a larger talent pool and the ability to track down the niche skills and experience your business needs.

Designed for in-house recruiters who are new to head-hunting or looking to implement a more proactive approach to targeting desired applicants, you’ll develop the confidence and expertise to run highly effective job-board searches and learn how to make compelling approaches to applicants.

Course contents:

  • Knowing your candidate – market research, job design and applicant personas
  • Sourcing passive candidate prospects using job-boards and Boolean search
  • Using LinkedIn and Recruiter+ to research and target specific talent groups
