Rationalisation of Recruitment Supply Chain and Management of LTD Company Contractors through IR35 reform

The Challenge

As the UK’s longest-serving partner for a bespoke software solution, this IT professional service and enterprise management supplier needed a robust response to forthcoming IR35 legislative changes to support their high-level security cleared contractor base.

Concerned about the potential impact on their ability to retain a niche-skilled workforce, they needed to plan ahead and act quickly to deliver against existing government contracts and retain competitiveness for future bids.

The company wanted a managed solution to work amongst key stakeholders within the supply chain with a track record of project delivery to a business-critical client base.

The Solution

Providing a fully integrated solution, GR quickly identified potential barriers, mapping processes and key personnel to advise on technology, project management and training solution in advance of the forthcoming IR35 change.

Working with managers throughout the business, we implemented a bespoke IR35 Toolkit to review existing contracts and statements of work. We worked with project managers and end-user clients to identify and analyse future workforce planning against existing and required resource.

Following 121 and group training sessions and dedicated on-site support, GR conducted all determinations to ensure accurate appraisals were carried out with contractors to ensure compliance with the changes in HMRC regulations. We then provided additional onboarding to fill identified gaps in upcoming projects requirements with the assistance of our recruitment consultancy division.

The Outcome
